| Broadcast Journalism students explore an
American treasure hunt comparable to Egypt’s King Tut’s
Tomb, as Native American mound builders and modern-day treasure hunters
collide. The Spiro Mounds in eastern Oklahoma are considered to be one
of the most important pre-Columbian sites in the United States. Join
these students as they explore the artifacts of this well-preserved
site. |

| Fire Ants: The Real Ant Bully |

| Since the 1930’s Fire Ants have plagued
Texas and other states. Where did these pests come from? Why have they
stayed? The students from Stamford High School will explore this
elementary program on the life cycle, habitat and behavior of the fire
ant without the sting. |

discover how math is used on a daily basis. Join them in this
creative session as they determine mean, median, mode and range of the
weights of the animals they visit. |
| The Origins and Culture of Hula |

| Hula is a form of worship to Hawaiian gods. Their poetry, music,
and dance were sacred to the Hawaiians. In the 1820’s hula was banished
from the islands. Find our why, discover more about the culture of
hula, and try your hands (and hips) at this ancient dance. |
